Rack and
Access Panels
Fixed Rackrail
Fixed rack can be mounted in any cabinet opening, it is the
most space efficient. Includes needed partitions, a floor
vent for air intake and a top vent for exhaust. Some very
dense installations need to force ventilation with fans.
Most installations also need an access panel to service
equipment (see Model M-RAP below).

Locking Access Panel
The audience side panel of the lectern, desk, or cabinet is
made removable to give quick access to equipment in racks
and computer CPU’s. Especially helpful when equipment is
mounted in fixed racks.

Hidden Locking
Access Panel
It is often possible to hide the locks for an access panel.
Generally access to the lock mechanism is behind a monitor
or other piece of equipment which must be removed to access
the lock. In some cases a small access door is created on
the control panel.

Unmounted Rack
Boxes
If the visible locks of a removable access panel are
objectionable, an unmounted rack box is an effective
solution. These rack boxes are finished to match the
furniture they are in. The box is pulled out or rotated for
service, eliminating the need for an access panel. The
bottom is notched to allow ventilation, as shown. Specify up
to 20 Rack Units. (Size limited by cabinet space.)
