A wireless microphone system is essentially a radio transmitter and a receiver. Transmitters can be found built-into handheld microphones or on a body pack transmitter to be used with lapel microphones and headset microphones. Receivers accept signals from the transmitter and are a plugged into any mixing console, amplifier, or other devices such as a pc / computer or camcorder.
